ACV (Actual Cash Value) is the depreciated amount paid upfront; RCV (Replacement Cost Value) includes the holdback you can recover after work is completed per policy terms. Your deductible is your responsibility and is typically subtracted from the claim payout and then becomes your responsibility to pay towards the repairs to the contractor.
